HOSA’s Competitive Events Program is designed to bring health career education to life through rigorous testing of knowledge performance, skill and leadership capabilities. This year, Georgia HOSA had over 3,700 students competing in one of our 57 different competitive events at the State Leadership Conference, the event in which they qualify for the International Leadership Conference (ILC).
Georgia HOSA had 400 attendees at the 2017 ILC held in Orlando, FL. Among the workshops, exhibitors, dance, and so much more happening during the conference, the competitive events is the ultimate reason for attendance. Georgia members racked up in medals and recognition! Click here to watch the live stream videos of each session.
To top it off, past Georgia HOSA President-Elect (2014-2015) and President (2015-2016), Priya Rathakrishnan of Emory University, took over as National HOSA President, and Georgia HOSA's past Vice President (2016-2017), Olivia Datta of Centennial High School, was announced as the 2017-2018 Eastern Region Vice President!
The 2nd annual International Leadership Conference was a success and we can’t wait for next year as Georgia HOSA takes on Dallas, TX for the 2018 ILC!
