Chapter Spotlight: Americus Sumter High School "Knowledge Is Power"

Healthcare Science students and HOSA members at Americus Sumter High rise to the challenge of their pathway program by showing their school, "Knowledge Is Power". Senior HOSA Members, Kirby Perry, Israel Broomfield, Semyra Edge, and ShaMiracle Watts, are the first Americus Sumter High students to qualify to compete in the HOSA Bowl Competition at the HOSA Future Health Professionals State Leadership Conference. These ladies used the foundational knowledge for the healthcare pathway along with other resources of their own, to prepare for this event. Their advisors are Mrs. Barbara Baisden-Mitchell RN/Work-Based Learning Coordinator/Pharmacy Instructor, and Ms. Shaquita Ingram, Allied Health Instructor.
