Chapter Spotlight: Fridays are for BBQ, Sweet Tea, and Ice Cream ( Floyd County Schools' College and Career Academy)
This school year is off to a great start with our HOSA-sponsored Friday fundraisers. Each Friday, HOSA members work hard to prepare BBQ sandwiches with sweet tea and ice cream for the entire school. We have exceeded our goal over the past two Fridays and are creating our nest egg for Fall Leadership Conference in November! We are thankful for our student body of over 800 students supporting our fundraising Fridays! This Friday, August 25th, is extra special because we will host our first HOSA-sponsored blood drive with Blood Assurance. Our community is experiencing a CRITICAL need for types O positive and O negative blood, and we are excited to have over 50 students signed up to donate life-saving blood! We will be celebrating our success with a KONA ICE day, in which 30% of sales will be donated back into our HOSA account! This year is off to a great start as we Dare to Create endless possibilities with HOSA!
