Chapter Spotlight: Loganville High School Hosa: Giving Tree
Each year HOSA likes to give back to the community and host The Giving Tree. The Giving Tree is a fundraiser where students at Loganville High School can donate gifts to give to residents at the local assisted living home. Students can go and have fun picking out some cool, holiday treats to donate to The Giving Tree. The Giving Tree takes place in the months of November and December each year and allows students to get more involved in their community and school. Each resident gets three items, making up a nice, big gift for them to receive over the holidays. Gifts that are commonly given out include blankets, socks, word searches, and so much more. Students get to help give back to the community and bring a smile to the residents' faces at the assisted living home. HOSA hosts this fundraiser each year and personally delivers the gifts themselves. Residents at the assisted living home are able to interact with the students and receive their gifts. In previous years, the members of HOSA sang, danced, and spent time with the residents while delivering their gifts. The Giving Tree is a fun way to spread joy during the holidays and bring a smile to each resident's face.
