Chapter Spotlight: Milton HOSA- Leadership and Outreach in the New Year!

Milton HOSA has been emphasizing leadership skills and growing in the HOSA community this year. A record number of new members and underclassmen attended the Fall Leadership Conference, enjoying interesting seminars from current state officers and developing HOSA vision. The group hosted their first in-depth SLC and FLC prep meetings, complete with advice from officers and competition details. Additionally, the branch grew overall in its presence within the school and the local community. At the school level, the group recruited incoming students as well as partnered with other student groups, such as the Red Cross and Beta Club. In the community, Milton HOSA created opportunities for students to volunteer at Alpharetta/Atlanta-based organizations such as MedShare, Gigi’s Playhouse, the Atlanta Community Food Bank, and North Fulton Community Charities. These organizations promote access to healthcare resources in underprivileged areas, and Milton HOSA's objective this year has been to serve these communities. The group is looking forward to growing in experience, leadership skills, and membership in the new year!
