Chapter Spotlight: SFMS HOSA Donates to Local Domestic Violence Shelter
Now that school is back in session, either face to face or virtual, SFMS HOSA started where we left off back in March. Our school was informed that Family Haven, our local domestic violence shelter needed items due to the hit from the COVID-19 pandemic. There was a need for many items so HOSA decided to make this event a school-wide service project for the month of September. Students were able to donate clothing items, cleaning supplies, and eating supplies. In our school, both face to face students and virtual students were able to donate items to the shelter, by dropping them off at our school. We promoted this event on social media, the morning news, and our SFMS website to get our community’s support. Together, we received many items to help the shelter and also promoted sharing is caring throughout our school.
