Chapter Spotlight: Mercer Mentorship Program

Mercer Mentorship Program

Mercer University HOSA is proud to announce their very own Mentorship Program. Throughout the fall semester of 2021, Mercer HOSA has partnered with two other Georgia HOSA chapters: Etowah High School HOSA and East Paulding High School HOSA. This program was initiated to help high school students prepare for their future with college lingering around the corner. Mercer HOSA has offered instructional, but also exciting, events that sparked education and laughter to enhance knowledge in the high school chapters, while helping collegiate students grow into leadership roles.
The events were held both in-person as well as through online sources, such as zoom. Events included, but were not limited to gingerbread house building, resume/application building activities, and even a panel of college students that answered any and all questions that high school students had. Students sought out ways to amplify skills that could help them in the future, pick at the college students’ history and tips and tricks for college, and enjoy some decorating fun all with Mercer undergraduate students. Now, we are planning more interesting events for the rest of spring semester!
Do not worry though, Mercer HOSA is laying the foundation to grow the Mentorship Program and is looking for more high school chapters to partner with. If you are interested in more information on collaborating with Mercer HOSA for next school year 2022-2023, please email us at mercerhosa@gmail.com to allow these partnerships to grow and be mutually beneficial.
