Chapter Spotlight: CITA HOSA Saves Lives
For the month of September we in the HOSA chapter at Cobb Innovation and Technology Academy partnered with the organization Be the Match with the hope to involve not just students but also teachers all around CITA and Osborne High School, and that is exactly what we did. The Be The Match non-profit organization is a wonderful way to make an impact on someone's life, and by just preregistering to become a future bone marrow or blood cell donator you can become a source of hope to all the patients who are awaiting treatment. By CITA partnering with Be The Match we were able to get a handful of outstanding students and teachers to register and preregister to one day save a life. With this experience, we were able to also educate students and teachers on what Be The Match is and to encourage those unable to register to think about it and put their name on the list in the future.
