E-Magazine: Chapter Initiative: Be the Match
Chapter Initiative: Be the Match
Calling all Georgia HOSA chapters!
At the International Leadership Conference of 2020, the Executive Council voted on a new National Service Project for the upcoming 3 years: Be the Match. This is an incredible organization that aids patients diagnosed with leukemia, a deadly blood cancer, in every step of the process of receiving a transplant: finding a donor, having the transportation, lodging, and food to make the trip there, and of course affording the procedure, even after insurance. A portion of donated funds also goes to researching bone marrow transplants, and reducing the dangerous side effects that sometimes accompany them.
Georgia HOSA is proud to serve such a noble cause, and we would like to recognize every bit of money and awareness that we have raised for Be the Match. Feel free to direct message the Georgia HOSA account, or post on your chapter Instagram and tag the Georgia HOSA account with pictures and stories of what your chapter has contributed to our National Service Project: @georgiahosa. In addition, we will shoutout every E-magazine article written, just like this one, that features a chapter and their commitment to serving Be the Match. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to your state officers through email or by Instagram direct message.
This year has been difficult for all of us, and those who are suffering with leukemia and lymphoma need our help more than ever. Share your chapter’s story of service and inspire others to join the cause. Together, we can make a real difference.
