What’s Happening in Georgia HOSA?
Each year our HOSA chapter participates in a special event organized by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) called Light The Night.
HOSA students from Tift County High School had a blast with local elementary school 4th graders, teaching all about how our lungs keep us breathing and strong!
This month our member meeting was crashed by a Wellstar guest speaker!
On Monday, August 26th, ECCA STEM HOSA had our first club day! For this first meeting, we really wanted to focus on introducing the club in an exciting way and getting to know all of our members.
CITA HOSA is coming back bigger and better! This year with our new president, Joe Muturi, we are continuing to make history as we expand our chapter! The kickoff meeting exceeded the bounds with 80-90 students in attendance! Officers were introduced, deadlines were made clear, and community service events were announced all while still having time for fun games and snacks.
The Floyd County College and Career Academy (FCS CCA) HOSA chapter is beginning the school year with a new kindness and positivity initiative.
One thing every HOSA member will say at least once in their lifetime is, “I miss HOSA.” Whether you’re recovering from post-conference blues or preparing to take your State Officer exam, there are moments when the HOSA family is all you need. From conversations with Post-Secondary members, it’s clear this feeling constantly endures. As the pressures of medical school and life increase, HOSA’s impact and experiences continue to guide them through each challenge.
In the fast-paced world of healthcare, technical knowledge, and clinical expertise are only part of the equation for success. Equally important are the soft skills that help HOSA members navigate their career paths, build meaningful connections, and stand out in competitive environments. Whether you’re looking to land your first internship or aiming for a competitive research position, these skills will provide a solid foundation for your journey!
As the school year begins, taking care of your health is extremely important. Balancing school work, extracurricular activities, and a social life can be difficult. However, success is achievable with the right approach. From managing stress to maintaining a balanced diet and so much more, these strategies will help you start the new year off strong, stay healthy, and thrive throughout the school year!
